Ooredoo Continues Journey Into Esports With Team Member's Major Win

Ooredoo announced that a member of its eSports team, Ooredoo Thunders, has won a major regional eSports tournament and qualified for a prestigious event in the US.
Ooredoo Thunders team member Hellon – Mohamed Shaheer Khan - won the first round of the initial qualifiers of the Fortnite Champion Series (FNCS) Middle East, followed by three semi-final sessions, and ultimately qualified for the Grand Finals, becoming eligible to compete in the FNCS Middle East main round and claim victory.
Of the FNCS Middle East $120,000 prize pool, the Ooredoo Thunders won $25,000, with Hellon's share being $12,500. This victory secured Hellon's invitation
to the FNCS Invitational in Raleigh, North Carolina, US, in November. The FNCS Invitational is a single-lobby event with a million-dollar prize pool, and the first
to take place since 2019 and the Covid-19 pandemic.
