Abu Dhabi, UAE: The throwback event of the year is nearing closer as the much-loved Yas Movies in the Park has just announced their line-up of iconic movies set to take center stage at the incredible free community event. Guests will enter a nostalgia-infused wonderland as this blast from the past takes over Yas Island on the 5th and 6th of November.
The suspense is finally over as the movie line-up is announced and it will surely please the whole family, from young to young at heart. Kicking off the excitement on day one will see the king of the jungle, Simba, making his acting debut in the 90s classic The Lion King at 5:30 pm. See if Kevin Bacon can overturn his new small town's ban on dancing in Footloose at 7:30pm in what promises to be a singing and dancing extravaganza. To top off the day, hang onto your hats as Harrison Ford becomes the iconic Indiana Jones as he seeks the Ark of the Covenant in Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark at 9:30 pm.
The excitement doesn't end there, as day two promises to offer just as many timeless classics. Start the journey under the sea as Ariel and Sebastian take the adventure of a lifetime in The Little Mermaid at 5:30 pm. See if Doc and Marty can solve their time travelling woes in Back to the Future at 7:30 pm and watch in terror as Bruce Willis plays John McClane in the classic action thriller, Die Hard, at 9:30 pm to finish the weekend.
Guests will also have an interactive experience like no other during the day one showing of Footloose. Prepare for an all-singing and all-dancing phenomenon as live performers will be on stage to give guests the immersive experience of their dreams.“Let's Hear It for the Boy” as Ren McCormack (Kevin Bacon) tries his best to change the views of this old-fashioned town and get everyone to cut loose and dance their blues away. This jaw-dropping display is sure to ramp up how you think about movies.
