Egyptian Supreme Council For Media Regulation Honours Chairman Of The UAE Journalists Association

CAIRO, 23rd September, 2022 (WAM) -- The Egyptian Supreme Council for Media Regulation honoured journalist Mohammed Al Hammadi, Chairman of the UAE Journalists Association (UAEJA), on the sidelines of a meeting of Arab ministers of information in Cairo.

The event was attended by Arab ministers of information, participating delegations, and prominent journalists and media professionals from Egypt and the Arab region.

During the event, Egyptian journalist Karam Gaber, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Media Regulation, presented the ''Pioneers Award'' to 11 prominent Arab journalists, who are Mohammed Al Hammadi from the UAE, Mohammed Al Arimi from Oman, Abdullah Al Baqali from Morocco, Issa Al Shayji from Bahrain, Nabil Amro from Palestine, Muayyad Al Lami from Iraq, Sadiq Muhammad Al Ammari from Qatar, Khalid bin Hamad Al Malik from Saudi Arabia, Muhammad Hassan Suleiman Al Dawdiyah from Jordan, Youssef Maroun Al Qusifi from Lebanon, and Mohamed Salmawi from Egypt.

The honour is in recognition of the journalists' contributions to improving public awareness and addressing extremist ideas, as well as supporting Arab issues, including the Palestinian cause.
