(MENAFN- Saudi Press Agency) Jeddah, September 23, 2022, SPA — Saudi Arabia celebrates its 92nd National Day during the auspicious reign of the seventh king of the Kingdom, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and HRH the Crown Prince. Today and every day Saudis celebrate this occasion as they are on the verge of a century since the announcement of the unification of the Kingdom by the founder King Abdulaziz bin Abdul Rahman Al Saud on September 23, 1932.
In an interview with 'SPA', researcher and media advisor, Dr. Fayez bin Abdullah Al-Shehri, said, 'The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques continues as we are celebrating the 92nd National Day, to manage governance and development in the Kingdom of Goodness and Development, with the approach of the 8th anniversary of the people's pledge of allegiance to him, a firm, merciful king, following the path of His father, the founder, who united the scattered three-quarters of the Arabian Peninsula into a homeland that enjoys safety and stability.”
He added, 'King Salman, the descendant of the Saudi House of Ruling, since he was brought up with his brothers under the eyes of his late father, acquired the principles of politics and governance since his early childhood, accompanying his father in official meetings with world leaders, and under his father's close supervision he studied Sharia and modern sciences at the Princes' School, and memorized the Holy Quran, at the age of ten, at the hands of the imam and preacher of the Grand Holy Mosque, Sheikh Abdullah Khayat.”
Dr. Al-Shehri said that King Salman watched closely his father's style of governance, management, and human interaction, and imbibed the concepts of dealing with various issues, adding that these early experiences refined the personality of the young Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz to be reflected in his administrative personality and the precise organization of his own time as a statesman and his care for the affairs of government and the governorate, which he assumed at the age of 19.
He continued, 'In tracing the biography of King Salman bin Abdulaziz, the King perceives with his wisdom the affairs of the people, inspired by his father's biography, sensing at the same time the circumstances of the times in an exceptional formula that highlighted the character of the experienced leader that the people of Riyadh have known for 50 years, influenced by his father and his biography. King Salman once said in a public meeting about his father: 'In the early years of the life of King Abdulaziz, there are lessons and stances that deserve contemplation and emulation.'
Dr. Al-Shehri noted that on another occasion, King Salman once said 'This country enjoys security stemming from its ruling by the Holy Quran and the Sunnah. The stability, the growth taking place in all fields, the harmony, and love among its children, all are memories that remind us of the founding king who first united this country with truth, then united the hearts of its children with love.”
He concluded by saying that the personality of the resolute King Salman bin Abdulaziz has an important legacy in governance, administration, and politics supported by many elements that characterized the King's personality, including his keenness for intensive reading of different kinds of books and his increased interest in culture and its affairs and regular meetings with thinkers and senior politicians over the years of his life.
