Doha: With the aim of motivating ways of cooperation with embassies, in the context of exchanging experiences and best practices, and organising scientific forums in various fields of social work, Qatar Social Work organised an introductory forum that brought together a number of ambassadors, ministries and United Nations organisations in Qatar to highlight the extent of the attention paid by them in the field of social work, along with the permanent cooperation between embassies with the institutions in the country.

Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Kuwari, CEO of the Foundation, affirmed the great importance that the foundation and its officials attached centres to cooperate with embassies.“We are convinced of the role that they play in cooperation in the field of social work, by contributing to achieving a better reality for the target groups and centers of the Foundation.”

This cooperation is based on areas of common interest, such as the exchange of experiences and best practices, and coordination in some matters related to the communities affiliated with these embassies, especially with regard to the services provided by the Foundation. He confirmed that the institution in this field will not delay in harnessing its expertise, efforts, and services for constructive cooperation with embassies to achieve the commonweal of society and the country.

Al Kuwari indicated that the Foundation is keen to develop and excel in providing the best services, empowering its members and integrating them into society, in addition to its role in monitoring social issues, which enabled it to be a supporter and advocate for the social sector in Qatar by activating institutional partnerships, and creating a strong new institutional culture capable of confronting and managing crises efficiently and effectively.

On the sidelines of the ceremony, the Foundation signed a cooperation agreement with the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (Unesco) to cooperate in the areas of social and human development, inclusive education policies and practices, and the empowerment of women and youth.

The agreement also enhances its role in monitoring social issues, which enabled it to be a supporter and advocate for the social sector in Qatar by activating institutional partnerships and creating a strong new institutional culture capable of confronting and managing crises efficiently and effectively through its membership in cultural conventions and committees.

Salah Zaki Khaled, Unesco representative, expressed his appreciation for the pivotal role played by Qatar Foundation for Social Work
