(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, Sept 22 (KUNA) -- Minister of Awqaf (Endowment) and Islamic Affairs, Jamal Al-Jalawi, stated Thursday that a truth-seeking committee was formed to examine stalled projects within the ministry.
Minister Al-Jalawi, also Minister of Justice and State Minister for Nazaha (Integrity) Enhancement, added in press release that delay in projects goes against the instructions of His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah who urged for quick execution of projects serving citizens and residents.
He added that the process of inspection and monitoring he began once he assumed office proved that a number of projects have been delayed due to unspecified reasons.
He indicated that the committee will look into reasons of such delay and provide recommendations to remedy the situation. (end)
