Non-oil exports from Saudi Arabia rise by 26.4 percent in July to USD7B


(MENAFN) Based on the most recent information made available by the General Authority for Statistics, Saudi Arabia's non-oil exports climbed by 26.4 percent to SR26.7 billion (USD6.94 billion) in July this year in comparison to the same month previous year.

According to the GASTAT statistics, chemical and related sectors accounted for 35.9 percent of the Kingdom's non-oil goods exports in July.

The study also stated that overall exports of goods rose by 58.8 percent to SR140.8 billion in July from SR88.7 billion in July last year. Comparing July to the same month last year, the Kingdom's goods imports rose 18.3 percent to SR55.1 billion.

The study went on to say that electrical equipment components and machinery and mechanical appliances made up the majority of all imported goods, accounting for 17.8 percent of all imports of goods.

Non-oil exports from Saudi Arabia increased by 26.4 percent in July, outpacing imports by 18.3 percent over the same month. As a result, the Kingdom's ratio of non-oil exports to imports rose from 45.2 percent in July of last year to 48.3 percent in July this year.
