(MENAFN- Saudi Press Agency) New York, Sep. 19, 2022, SPA -- Minister of Education of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Dr. Hamad bin Mohamed Al Al-Sheikh took part in the Leaders Day of the Transforming Education Summit Conference, the third and closing of the agenda of the summit and its accompanying events held in New York on the sidelines of the 77th general assembly of the United Nations.
The event aims at laying the foundation of greater political commitments to be put by heads of states towards future education in its capacity as a public interest and providing innovative solutions to transform education and overcome the existing challenges in some countries.
Al-Sheikh took part in today's events which included the main session whereas the leaders presented the national commitments of their countries as well as high-level meetings which discussed the summit's agenda and initiatives of transforming education to an inclusive and fair product with high quality and equal chances for all in a way that achieves the objectives of the UN sustainable development including the 21st century's educational skills.
Al Al-Sheikh also participated in a high-level session casting light on investment in digital education and distance education.
Education ministers also discussed recovery from the educational losses resulting from the impacts of coronavirus pandemic.
