Iran’s VP underlines Iran-Iraq partnership to ease Arbaeen march


(MENAFN) Iran’s First Vice leader Mohammad Mokhber stated on Sunday that several Muslim groups are joining the Arabeen pilgrimage as well as the Iraqi administration is pleased to host them.

the vice leader mentioned that “Arbaeen pilgrimage is the largest religious ritual in the Islamic world, which has been unprecedented in history in terms of the number of participants and the scope of the event”

He then noted that the Iraqi administration believes that the hosting of Arbaeen pilgrims as an honor.

He expressed that “The governments of Iran and Iraq serve Arbaeen pilgrims side by side and have cooperated cordially with each other to prepare the necessary infrastructure for the presence of millions of pilgrims in Iraq.”

Mokhber stressed that ministries, especially the interior ministry, and all associated organizations in addition to activists and governors have completely collaborated to facilitate the Arbaeen walk ritual.

However, he mentioned that “The deficiencies of some infrastructures in Iraq have created limitations.”
