FM, Moroccan Counterpart Hold Talks In Amman

Amman, Sept 5 (Petra) -- Foreign Minister, Ayman Safadi, on Monday met in Amman with his Moroccan counterpart, Nasser Bourita.
Both ministers lauded the deep-rooted ties between the two kingdoms, and their keenness to develop them in various fields.
In a meeting held at the ministry's headquarters on the eve of the Arab League Ministerial Council meeting in Cairo on Tuesday, the two ministers discussed ways to activate joint Arab action to serve Arab issues, the Palestinian issue in particular.
In joint press statements, Safadi said that Jordan is proud of the strategic and historical ties between the two kingdoms, which are working to develop them in various fields in implementation of the directives of both countries' leasders.
He added that minister Bourita and him discussed practical steps required to activate cooperation according to the summit statement issued post King Abdullah and King Mohammed VI meeting in Casablanca in 2019, and they agreed to start preparations to hold the joint higher committee that had met in Morocco in 2016 as soon as possible in Amman.
He indicated that Bourita and he agreed to facilitate the movement of citizens between the two kingdoms by addressing visa issues.
On the Palestinian issue, Safadi said that it was at the forefront of the issues discussed during the meeting.
