A young man accidentally electrocuted himself to death by a faulty water pump while getting water in Ghazni city, the provincial capital of Ghazni province in central Afghanistan, according to local sources.

According to the sources, the victim of electrocution lost his life in the central district of Ghazni province on Wednesday, the 31st of August.

This 24-year-old man's name is reportedly Ahmad Shabeer, and he worked as a truck driver before the fatal electrocution accident took his life.

According to Ahmad Shabir's relatives, a short circuit caused by a faulty water pump electrocuted him as he tried to fill up his car with water from a reservoir.

Two men previously died in a deadly electrocution accident in Taloqan, the provincial capital of Afghanistan's Takhar northern province, almost a month ago.

According to the Taliban-controlled Bakhtar news agency, the men were electrocuted as they were trying to repair a damaged electricity line.

Not only do terrorism, violence, and natural disasters continue to strike Afghanistan, but also unforeseen events continue to devastate the country's impoverished people.
