Doha: The State of Qatar has expressed its deep concern over the developments in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, and called on all parties in Iraq to avoid escalation and exercise the utmost restraint.
In a statement on Tuesday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stressed the need to resolve differences through political dialogue and peaceful means to achieve the aspirations of the brotherly Iraqi people for stability and prosperity.
The Ministry reiterated Qatar's firm position in support of Iraq's unity, security, and sovereignty.
