Islamic Jihad official: Until Palestine is freed, resistance will persist

(MENAFN) According to the representative of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad resistance movement in Iran, resistance against the occupying Israeli government would last until all of Palestine is freed.

At a press conference discussing the results of the most recent conflict between Israel and resistance in the Gaza Strip, Nasser Abu-Sharif and Khaled al-Qaddumi, the representative of the Palestinian Hamas resistance movement to Iran, declared on Wednesday that "the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement will continue to resist."

“The ultimate goal has not been achieved, and this resistance will continue until the complete liberation of the Palestinian land,” he stated.

Martyrdom, according to Abu-Sharif, is not a barrier to the liberation of Palestinian territory.
He claimed that over time, the Palestinian people's resistance against the Israeli government has changed and improved.

“It is true that we lost two of our senior commanders, Khaled al-Mansour and Tayseer al-Jabari, and this is a great loss, but the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement is an organized movement that can replace these martyred commanders,” he highlighted.

Abu-Sharif was alluding to a string of Israeli airstrikes that started on August 5 and continued for three days, killing scores of individuals, including 17 children and senior Islamic Jihad figures. During the Israeli attack, hundreds more people suffered injuries.
