Konya 2021: Team Qatar Signs Off With Four Gold Medals

Curtains came down on the fifth edition of the Islamic Solidarity Games Konya 2021, Turkiye, with a closing ceremony at the Selcuk University Stadium yesterday.

Qatar finished the medals tally in 13th position with 12 medals (four gold, three silver and five bronze). Hosts Turkiye topped the medals table with a whopping 341 medals, which included 145 gold, 107 silver and 89 bronze.

The closing ceremony was attended by the Turkiye's Minister of Youth and Sports Mehmet Muharrem Kasapoglu and Islamic Solidarity Sports Federation President and Sports Minister of Saudi Arabia Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Faisal. Star archer Ibrahim Al Mohannadi was Qatar's flag bearer during the closing ceremony.
