Qatar Museums Holding Series Of Learning, Outreach Programmes

Qatar Museums (QM) is holding a series of learning and outreach programmes.

'Teen Volunteers' programme started yesterday and another session will be held tomorrow with presenter Somaya Al Mutawa, Consultant in the Human Resources Department at Kahramaa; Mohammed Abdulrahim Al Janahi, Head of Outreach Teach for Qatar; and Ahmed Al Lenjawi, Volunteers Strategy & Stakeholders Specialist at Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy. 'Effective Communication' is happening today with Al Mutawa, as speaker.

Also, 'Feet on Ground' will be held tomorrow with Al Janahi; and 'Youth for the Environment' is also happening tomorrow, with Al Lenjawi. All the programmes will be conducted at Hall of Athletes at 3-2-1 Qatar Olympic and Sports Museum.

The Teen Volunteers aims to empower youth, develop creative thinking, and encourage community participation. A number of young presenters were selected to reflect their expertise in the artistic and creative fields and be role models for teenagers. 

The Effective Communication programme will introduce participants to the components of communication process, effective communication tools, as they participate in practical tasks to gain experiences.

The Feet on Ground workshop will motivate young people to produce meaningful visual content.“The workshop begins with the programme presenter's journey from the engineering sector to the education sector and his experience in producing visual educational content. The trainees are learning to use the Cute Cut app on their phones to produce a short meaningful video inside the Olympic Sports Museum,” QM said.

And, the volunteers at the Youth for Environment workshop will be able to participate through play and creative thinking in solving environmental challenges locally and globally, in an atmosphere full of sports and fun inside the galleries of Qatar Olympic and Sports Museum. The undertaking is also to promote environmental awareness, foster entrepreneurship, and participate in achieving our National Vision 2030 and the sustainable development goals, QM explained.
