Iran refuses claims of weapons bringing in to Yemen

(MENAFN) Iran responded to Aran press reports blaming Iran of facilitating weapons bringing in to Yemen, stating that these claims are “baseless.”

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanaani stated such statements are “baseless and repetitive staging” on the part of the “invading coalition and their Western supporters,” as said by the Iranian Foreign Ministry.

The Saudi-owned Al Arabiya news television stated two days ago that a Yemeni group of smugglers has been concerned in bringing in arms from the Iranian port city of Bandar Abbas to Yemen.

According to The Foreign Ministry spokesman, the attacking union and their Western supporters have to be responsible for the crimes that they have done for 7 years in Yemen.

Kanaani added those crimes left many victims, destroyed Yemen’s infrastructure and released the biggest humanitarian disaster of the century.

He as well claimed that framing the Islamic Republic of Iran is just against distracting the public opinion of local and world nations from the realities of the Yemen disaster.
