Türkiye utters support for Libya

(MENAFN) Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu and chief of Libya’s High Council of State Khalid Al-Mishri on Tuesday talked over the latest changes and election process in Libya.

Cavusoglu tweeted that he greeted al-Mishri in the capital Ankara.

"Evaluated recent developments and the election process in #Libya. Will continue to give our strong support to brotherly Libya & will develop our cooperation in every field," on the words of Cavusoglu.

On August 1, Al-Mishri was reappointed as chief of the High Council of State for the fifth time.
Libya has been overwhelmed by turmoil and divisions as of the 2011 ouster of late ruler Muammar Gaddafi.

UN-sponsored discussions amid Libyan rivals to decide on a constitutional framework for holding the long-awaited polls have been deadlocked.

Libyans are still waiting for polls to happen, hoping that the vote is going to contribute to stop armed war in the oil-rich state which broke out since years.
