Brentford humiliates Man United with 4-0 win

(MENAFN) Manchester United’s dreadful start with new manager Erik ten Hag resumed with a 4-0 disgrace against Brentford in the English Premier League yesterday.

United, seeking to regain their form after their 2-1 opening week surprise loss against Brighton, were shocked by a perfect first 45 minutes performance by Brentford, who had scored four times by the 35th minute.

Josh Dasilva opened the score line of this humiliation in the 10th minute as goalkeeper David de Gea made a mistake and was unable to keep out his relatively tame shot from distance.

Mathias Jensen made it to 2-0 eight minutes later after snatching the ball off new United transfer Christian Eriksen.

Ben Mee scored the third with a header in the 30th minute before Bryan Mbeumo struck the final nail in the Red Devils’ coffin to secure an unforgettable loss to the man united at the Gtech Community Stadium.

After a disastrous sixth-place finish last year, United find themselves at the end of the table after these two losses in a row, with additional misery likely in store as they host Liverpool in their next match on Aug. 22.
