Turkey’s daily energy usage drops by 4.6 percent on Aug. 13


(MENAFN) Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) data released on Sunday shows that the nation’s daily electricity usage declined by 4.64 percent on Saturday in comparison to the day before, standing at 997,207 million megawatts per hours.

According to TEIAS statistics, the peak hourly power usage was 46,459 megawatts per hours at 03:00 regional time (1200 GMT). At 7:00 a.m. regional time, the nation's power consumption reached its lowest point of 34,179 megawatts per hours (0400 GMT).

On Saturday, there were 985,808 megawatts per hours of electricity produced, a 4.33 reduction from Friday.

30 percent of the entire amount of electricity was produced by natural gas power factories, followed by imported coal factories 21.1 percent and hydropower factories 14.5 percent.

The nation's electrical exports on Saturday were 8,824 megawatts per hours, while its imports were 19,953 megawatts per hours.
