(MENAFN) The worth of shipment from Golestan district, in the northeast of Iran, jumped 47 percent in the opening four months of the ongoing Iranian calendar year (March 21-July 22), in comparison with the same span of time in the last year, a provincial official declared.
Darvish-Ali Hassanzadeh, the chief of the province’s Industry, Mining and Trade Department, stated that goods valued at USD67.8 million were shipped from the region in the stated four-month time.
He entitled Turkmenistan, Iraq, Romania as well as Bulgaria as the foremost export destinations of the outputs in the stated period.
As earlier declared by Ebrahim Hosseini, the director-general of the region’s customs department, the worth of shipments from Golestan jumped 58 percent in the opening 3 months of the current year, in comparison with the same period of the last year.
The official stated that around 95,591 tons of goods valued at USD55.62 million were shipped from the region in the first 3 months of this year, presenting 27 percent surge in terms of mass as well.
