Hamdi Bags Gold As Qatar Athletes Continue To Shine In Konya

Qatari athletes continued to shine in track and field events at the at the 5th Islamic Solidarity Games yesterday, adding one more gold medal and two silver medals to their account.
Hamdi Ali topped the field in the men's high jump and secured Qatar's third gold at the Konya 2021 Games in Turkiye, yesterday.

Javelin thrower Ahmed Majour clinched a silver before Abdulrahman Hassan finished second in the men's 1,500m final at the at the Konya Metropolitan Stadium to win Team Qatar's nineth medal at the Games. Abu Bakr Abdullah (800m gold), Bassem Hemeida (400m hurdles gold), Moaaz Ibrahim (men's discus throw - silver), Rashid Al Athba (men's trap shooting - silver), Musab Ali (3000m steeplechase bronze) and Maram Al Fatnasy (women's taekwondo - 67kg class bronze) have also won medals for Qatar.
