(MENAFN) Defense of a country is widespread which cannot just be started by army methods, in accord with the Turkish defense on Tuesday.
"There is economic security, there is cultural economy and there's cultural security," Defense Minister Hulusi Akar declared in the 13th Ambassadors Conference in Ankara.
Speaking to the Turkish representatives, Akar stated Türkiye seeks to defend its frontiers from violent groups through its cross-border operations, and "we have no interest in anyone's land."
He added terrorist groups are benefiting from the high technology and destructive power tools, causing "global insecurity."
Akar said that although Russia calls its actions in Ukraine otherwise, a war is going on. "Thus, we have implemented the articles from the Montreux Convention (international pact on the way straits are monitored)," he went on.
Remembering Türkiye's contracts reached with Russia, besides the US on removing terrorists from northern Syria, Akar announced: "Although, we have undertaken and fulfilled all responsibilities on our part, our interlocutors have failed to fulfill the promises."
