DOHA: Writer and novelist Shamma Shaheen Al Kuwari issued recently a novel titled 'Sun Without Light'.

She noted that the incidents of the novel transpired in the Indian city of Hyderabad in 1903, where three English, Arab and Indian boys were able to overcome social differences and prejudices after a music teacher established a house to teach music and brought together the three boys through teaching them how to play different musical instruments.
Shamma Shaheen Al Kuwari received a master's degree in public policies from the College of Islamic Studies at Hamad Bin Khalifa University, and Bachelor of Science from Qatar University.
She released a number of literary works, and won the 7th edition of Katara Prize for Arabic Fiction, as well as the State Prize for Children's Literature in 2014, becoming the first Qatari novelist to win this award.
