(MENAFN) Based on the official data released by the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Tuesday, daily energy usage in usage soared by 113.4 percent on Monday in comparison to the prior day, standing at 1.3 million megawatts per hours.
According to TEIAS figures, hourly power usage reached 50,284 megawatts per hours at 03.00 p.m. regional time (1200 GMT). At 07.00 a.m. regional time (0400 GMT), the nation’s electricity consumption declined to the lowest point of 32,582 megawatts per hours.
On Monday, there were 895,837 million megawatts per hours of electricity produced, which is a 113.7 percent rise from Sunday.
24.2 percent of the total amount of electricity produced was produced by natural gas power factories, with the remaining 18.4 percent and 16.1 percent coming from imported coal and hydroelectricity factories, correspondingly.
The nation's electrical exports on Monday were 8,087 megawatts per hours, whereas its imports were 19,681 megawatts per hours.
