Karnataka Sangha Celebrates India Independence

Doha: As a part of mega celebrations of Azadi ki Amrut Mahotsav in Qatar by Indian Cultural Centre (ICC), a Musical night with vocal music and classical dance recitals were held at ICC on August 4 hosted by Karnataka Sangha Qatar.

The event was a success which was enjoyed and appreciated by a massive audience of the Indian community. 

The programme started with a welcome classical dance performed by Sanjan Jeevan. Melodious, patriotic super hits songs from Kannada, Hindi, Tulu, and Konkani were sung by well-known local singers originating from Karnataka.

The vocal singers lead and coordinated by Anil Bhasagi, Tufail, Lavanya Acharya, Sagar Kotian, Akshaya Shetty, Divya, and Ranjith, Santosh, Navya Shetty, Carol Dsouza, and Abdullah Monu rocked the stage. 

The programme was compered by Manjoth, Joint Cultural Secretary - Karnataka Sangha. 

During the welcome speech, the President of Karnataka Sangha thanked ICC for giving the platform for the celebrations of Indian Independence. 

During the keynote address chief guest of the event P N Babu Rajan, President, of Indian Cultural Centre applauded the contributions of the Karnataka Sangha in cultural events during the year-long celebrations and appreciated the great support of all the Indian community even during the vacation season who have come in big numbers to witness the celebrations.

The programme was the fourth-day event of a series of everyday celebrations, with a grand finale to be held on August 19.
