(MENAFN) Carrying on the outcome from the Ukraine conflict, Russia on Friday forced restrictions against 62 Canadian residents, blocking them from crossing the nation, as said by the Russian Foreign Ministry.
In a written declaration, the ministry stated the measure was taken in reply to Canada's bans targeting Russian administration officials, reporters, experts, and Patriarch Kirill, chief of the Russian Orthodox Church.
The Canadian restrictions were forced over Russia's conflict on Ukraine, now in its sixth month.
The ministry also shared the names of Canadians on the restrictions list, as well as Foreign Ministry and Prime Ministry officials, in addition to political forecasters, artists, and religious figures.
"The administration of Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has taken hostile actions against Russia," based on the declaration.
