(MENAFN) Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) data released on Sunday shows that daily electricity usage in Turkey declined by 4.5 percent on Saturday in comparison to the day before, reaching 1.02 million megawatts per hours.
According to TEIAS statistics, the peak hourly power usage was 46,742 megawatts per hours at 12 p.m. regional time (0900 GMT). At 7:00 a.m. regional time, the nation's power consumption reached its lowest point of 35,111 megawatts per hours (0400 GMT).
On Saturday, 1.01 million megawatts per hours of electricity were produced, which is a 4.5 percent decline from Friday.
Natural gas power factories comprised by 26.3 percent of the total amount of electricity produced, whereas imported coal power factories and wind power factories constituted by 19.1 percent and 14.9 percent, correspondingly.
The nation's electrical exports on Saturday were 8,308 megawatts per hours, while its imports were 21,303 megawatts per hours.
