QCB denies reports about releasing commemorative coins for FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 tournament

(MENAFN) Qatar Central Bank (QCB) has disapprove what was reported about the release of commemorative coins for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.

In an announcement released on Thursday, QCB noted that what has been going on social media platforms with respect to commemorative coins for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 is not accepted by the official authorities that are organizing the tournament, highlighting that Qatar Central Bank knows nothing about what has been reporting on social media.

QCB stated that it has no authorized jurisdiction either, whether in terms of minor value or legal status.

It also stated that legal activity is going to be taken against the entities that have released these coins or those who are sponsoring these currencies.

QCB declared that the commemorative coins for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 competition are composed to be released in near future in coordination with the official directors of the tournament.

The FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 is going to launch on November 21 and end on December 18.
