KUWAIT -- The Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) announced that it would dispatch urgent medical aid to Gaza Strip to make up for an acute shortage in medicine and medical equipment in the besieged strip's hospitals.
CAIRO -- Secretary General of the Arab League Ahmed Abul-Gheit condemned the Israeli aggression on Gaza Strip, demanding Israel to immediately halt its assault on the densely populated Strip.
GAZA -- Health Authorities in the Gaza Strip revealed that casualties have amounted to over 200 wounded with 24 deaths, while Israeli attacks continue on the Strip.
GAZA -- The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) decided to close all its facilities in the Gaza Strip to the public from Sunday until further notice, with the exception of the 22 health centers.
ISTANBUL -- A Panama-flagged ship carrying 33,000 tons of Ukrainian corn arrived in Istanbul from the Ukrainian port of Odesa in route to Ireland. (end) mb
