Kuwait Health Min. Urges Tapping Turkish Medical Expertise


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) ISTANBUL, Aug 6 (KUNA) -- Visiting Kuwaiti Health Minister Khaled Al-Said said Saturday it is necessary to draw upon Turkiye's medical expertise, particularly hospital operation and administration, and staff training.
The minister made the remark to KUNA following his meeting with Turkish Deputy Minister of Health Sabahattin Aydin at Basaksehir Cam & Sakura City Hospital in Basaksehir district of Istanbul, where he got familiar with the hospital's experience in various medical domains.
The minister said he had discussed with the Turkish deputy health minister ways of promoting cooperation between Kuwait and Turkiye in the health field, and how to make best use of Turkiye's medical advancement.
He added that during the meeting he was also briefed on the privileges of Turkey's health system, national health insurance covering all segments of society, and the private sector's role in backing the governmental health system. (end)
