Kazakhstan Increases Volume Of Passenger Car Production

BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 5. The number of passenger car manufactured in Kazakhstan amounted to 9,085 cars in May 2022, which is 68.3 percent more compared to May 2021 and 16.4 percent more than April 2022, Trend reports citing Kazakh Statistics Committee.

According to committee, number of passenger car produced in Kazakhstan amounted to 36,420 vehicles in first five months of 2022, which is 28.6 percent more than the same period 2021.

Kazakhstan imported 4,301 passenger cars in May 2022, which is 45 percent less compared to May 2021 and 22.8 percent less than April 2022. At the same time, Kazakhstan imported 21,858 cars from January through May 2022, which is 35.7 percent less than the same period in 2021.

Of this volume, Kazakhstan exported 458 cars in May 2022, which is 31.3 percent less compared to May 2021 and 59.1 percent less than April 2022. Kazakhstan exported 3,233 according to the results of first five months 2022.

According to committee, 12,928 cars were sold on the domestic market of Kazakhstan in May 2022, which is 2.9 percent more compared to May 2021 and 11.3 percent more than April 2022.

Volume of sales of passenger cars across Kazakhstan amounted to 55,045 units from January through May 2022, which is eight percent less than the same period last year.
