Over 1,500 Abandoned Vehicles Removed In July

The Joint Committee for removing abandoned vehicles in co-ordination with the different municipalities across the country and other entities concerned removed 1,547 abandoned vehicles in July. These included 937 removed to the junk yard at Al Mashaf, Al Wakra, and 610 to the junk yard at Umm Slal. In addition, 1,571 abandoned vehicles were disposed of during July 1-26 through selling, scrapping, returning to the owners or other means. The total sum collected from selling such vehicles amounted to QR950,500 while the number of 393 vehicles were sold through Mzad Qatar app over the past few months, generating a sum of QR3,262,992.
