EU Adds Ukraine Ex-President Yanukovych And His Son To Sanctions List
(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) BRUSSELS, Aug 4 (KUNA) -- The European Union Thursday decided to impose sanctions on two additional individuals in response to the ongoing Russian military invasion of Ukraine.
An EU press release said it added the pro-Russian former President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych and his son Oleksandr Yanukovych to the list of persons, entities and bodies subject to restrictive measures for their role in undermining or threatening the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine.
The EU accused Oleksandr Yanukovych of conducting transactions with the separatist groups in the Donbas region of Ukraine. (end)
