J&K Clocks 779 New Covid Cases

Srinagar – Jammu and Kashmir reported on Thursday 779 fresh cases of novel Coronavirus while one more person succumbed to the deadly infection in the Union Territory during the last 24 hours.

According to officials, Kashmir Valley registered 637 new cases of Covid-19 while 142 others were detected from various districts of Jammu division, taking the total number of people infected since the onset of pandemic in J&K to 467422.

Giving district wise details,the officials said, Jammu reported 59 cases, Udhampur 10, Rajouri 5, Doda 18, Kathua 11, Samba 5, Kishtwar 15, Poonch 7, Ramban 11, Reasi 1, Srinagar 248, Baramulla 156, Budgam 80, Pulwama 15, Kupwara 45, Anantnag 40, Bandipora 22, Ganderbal 6, Kulgam 23and Shopian 2.

Also, the officials said that one more person succumbed to the infection in Jammu division on Thursday, raising the death toll in the pandemic to 4774 in J&K.

“Moreover, 727 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and been discharged from various hospitals including 297 from Jammu division and 430 from Kashmir division,” they added.
