Qatar participated in an international forum that highlights the struggle of Algerian women as an example of the Arab women in liberating their homelands, which was held as part of the activities commemorating the 60th double anniversary of the Independence and Youth in Algeria. Qatar's delegation was headed by HE the Minister of Social Development and Family Maryam bint Ali bin Nasser al-Misnad. In the speech she delivered during the forum, HE al-Misnad commended the Algerian women's role in the renaissance of their country, and reviewed Qatar's efforts, its programmes and policies related to the advancement of women in various fields, and the achievements made in this regard.
