Sumy Region's Village Under Enemy Fire: Houses Pierced With Projectile Fragments


(MENAFN- UkrinForm) Sumy Region's village of Myropillia has come under enemy fire this morning.

The relevant statement was made by Sumy Regional Military Administration Head Dmytro Zhyvytskyi on Telegram , an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“Russians continue to destroy cemeteries in Sumy Region. Today Myropillia has come under enemy fire. The details of the morning shelling are as follows: Russians opened fire on the residential areas of the village at 05:30 a.m. Over 10 graves in a local cemetery were destroyed completely,” Zhyvytskyi wrote.

In his words, power transmission lines were damaged on several streets.

At least five households were hit by Russian projectiles. Civilian houses were left with broken windows, roofs, fences, garages and vehicles.

“Several houses were pierced with enemy projectile fragments: the walls, doors and heating systems broken,” Zhyvytskyi stressed.

A reminder that, on July 30, 2022, Russian troops opened fire on Sumy Region's Seredyna-Buda community, leaving one civilian killed and two injured.
