Turkey’s daily energy usage drops by 0.1 percent on July 29


(MENAFN) Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) data released on Saturday shows that daily electricity usage in Turkey declined by 0.1 percent on Friday in comparison to the day before, reaching 1.06 million megawatts per hours.

Data from TEIAS revealed that the peak hourly power usage was 50,389 megawatts per hours at 03:00 regional time (1200 GMT). At 7:00 a.m. regional time, the nation's power usage reached its lowest point of 35,475 megawatts per hours (0400 GMT).

On Friday, 1.06 million megawatts per hours of electricity were produced, a 0.03 percent decline from Thursday.

Natural gas power factories comprised by 28.6 percent of the total amount of energy produced, whereas imported coal power factories and hydroelectricity factories constituted by 20.2 and 12.7 percent, correspondingly.

The nation's power exports on Friday totaled 5,577 megawatt hours, while its imports came to 14,251 megawatt hours.
