Loading, unloading of commodities in ports increase 6 percent in first 4 months of this year


(MENAFN) Loading and unloading of commodities in the ports of Iran surged six percent in the first four months of the ongoing Iranian calendar year (March 21-July 22), against the same span of time in the last year, the nation’s Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO) declared.

As the PMO mentioned in a report, 69,389,799 tons of good were loaded and unloaded in the ports throughout the stated period.

The four-month loading and unloading of oil output reached 34,511,417 tons, with nine percent expansion, and that of the non-oil goods reached 34,878,382 tons, with three percent increase annually.

As earlier declared by the PMO, Loading and unloading of goods in the ports of nation surged seven percent in the first three months of the ongoing Iranian year (March 21-June 21), against the same quarter of time in the last year.

The PMO mentioned in a report that 51,661,306 tons of goods were loaded and unloaded in the ports throughout the first quarter period.
