Qatari Forum For Authors Holds New 'Writer And Book' Session

(MENAFN- The Peninsula) QNA

Doha: Within a series of the sessions titled Writer and Book held by the forum on weekly basis, the Qatari Forum for Authors discussed The Arab Child Storyteller, The Starters of Creativity and the Horizons of Criticism written by Dr. Abdel Moneim Mujawar.

The author rolls out a new outright vision and adopts diverse perspective on children's literature in the Arab world. The book addresses the stories written by children, in terms of criticism and analysis, not those stories written by adults on the basis that children's production of knowledge takes precedence over their consumption of it, considering that this is the real test for producing a distinguished innovator and creativity.

Mujawar noted that the book made a comparison between children's literature in the Arab world and similar type of literature in other nations, including the Japanese experience and some western experiences for the sake of comparison to further explain the attitude toward these experiences by offering a vision that is congruent with the Arab and Islamic cultures and traditions.
