Qatar’s IPI decreases 2.4 percent in May


(MENAFN) The Industrial Production index (IPI), May 2022 stood at 98.6 points dropping by 5.4 percent in comparison to the previous month (April 2022), and by 2.4 percent, in contrast with the same month last year.

Planning and Statistics Authority released a fresh version of press release of industrial production index for May 2022, estimated by using 2018 as a source year.

By altering the first year, the relative weight of major financial areas below this indicator are altered as well, thus “Mining” 82.46 percent, “Manufacturing” 15.85 percent, “Electricity production” 1.16 percent, “Water production” 0.53 percent.

This indicator is a short-range measureable index that trials the changes in the capacity of output of a certain area of industrial output through a given amount time with respect to that in a selected period named the base period. It revises and examines the financial rate of the state, and the expansion of numerous industrial areas in economy index details.
