Talabat And QRCS Announce Partnership For In-App Donations

talabat, the region's leading local tech platform, delivering food and q-commerce solutions, and the Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS) have announced a partnership for in-app donations as part of talabat's #TechForGood initiatives.
Over the first three months of collaboration, talabat raised more than QR600,000 in charity, QR370,000 of which during the holy month of Ramadan alone, to support various humanitarian initiatives led by QRCS, such as the provision of water, shelter, food, livelihoods, and others. Additionally, customers were given the opportunity to donate to many special projects, such as Ramadan Iftar and Zakat

    Fitr during Ramadan.
    Commenting on the announcement, Francisco Miguel de Sousa, managing director at talabat Qatar, said: 'We are thrilled to have added Qatar Red Crescent on our platform and provide our community with a chance to further give back to those in need.”

    QRCS CEO Faisal Mohamed al-Emadi said:“I would like to thank talabat for being so collaborative in integrating fundraising into their mobile app, which will translate into more aid for vulnerable people both in Qatar and beyond. Their strategy of corporate social responsibility (CSR) is exemplary, and we hope to go yet farther together with our partnership”.
