Bangladesh Embassy In Qatar Celebrates Inauguration Of Padma Bridge

The embassy of Bangladesh in Qatar recently celebrated the inauguration of Padma Bridge along with the Bangladesh community in Qatar.
The construction of the 6.15km-long bridge was financed by Bangladesh's own funds. The bridge has connected 21 districts of the southwestern region with the northcentral part of the country.
It is expected that the longest bridge of Bangladesh will play a significant role in the socio-economic development of the people of the region, boost economic
activities and contribute to overall growth of the country's economy, the embassy said in a press statement.
During the celebration, Bangladesh's ambassador to Qatar Md Jashim Uddin commended Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's forward-looking leadership and expressed deep gratitude to her for building the Padma Bridge with Bangladesh's own funds.
He mentioned that the bridge would play a special role in industry, tourism, agriculture and education.
Describing the bridge as a symbol of self-confidence and self-respect, the ambassador said the bridge will inspire Bangladesh to undertake similar mega projects in the future.
