About 200 Invaders Eliminated At Military Base In Melitopol Mayor

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) About 200 invaders were killed and 300 more were wounded as a result of the attack of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on a Russian military base in Melitopol two days ago.

'The Armed Forces of Ukraine attacked one of the Russian military bases in Melitopol: barracks, ammunition and fuel depots. More than 200 ruscists were killed, more than 300 were wounded. This is not official information, but more than reliable information. A ruscist hospital, which they had deployed at our medical facilities, was struck. So the ruscists suffered significant losses during the destruction of this military base,' Melitopol Mayor Ivan Fedorov said during the nationwide telethon, Ukrinform reports.

According to him, collaborators are afraid to go to work in Melitopol after the attack. Some of them have already left the city, some still want to do so.

The invaders also move the surviving equipment to other military bases and hide it in forest strips. According to Fedorov, about 1,000 Russian soldiers are stationed in Melitopol.

About 50% of the residents – 70,000 people – still stay in the city. In recent weeks, parents and children, who want to enter Ukrainian universities, have been leaving Melitopol. After the strikes by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, another wave of mass departure began.

The invaders filter locals, kidnap people, search for partisans.

As reported, shots were heard in Melitopol on the night of July 3. The Armed Forces of Ukraine disabled one of the four Russian military bases. More than 30 strikes were launched exclusively at the enemy military base.

Melitopol has been occupied by the Russian troops since the end of February.
