PM Shmyhal Discusses A Range Of Projects With EBRD President


(MENAFN- UkrinForm) Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal met with President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) Odile Renaud-Basso on the sidelines of the Ukraine Recovery Conference in Lugano.

'On the sidelines of the Ukraine Recovery Conference, a meeting was held with President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development Odile Renaud-Basso. We discussed the implementation of current projects and the prospects for launching new projects,' Shmyhal said in a Telegram post, Ukrinform reports.

He offered the EBRD to participate in the financing of the project on constructing mobile boiler houses, since at least two hundred of them in Ukraine were destroyed by Russia. Shmyhal also raised an issue on purchasing special equipment for cleaning drinking water.

'I personally thanked Ms. Renaud-Basso for allocating 2 billion euros to support the stability of Ukraine and help victims of the war as part of the Assistance Package in connection with the military actions in Ukraine,' the Prime Minister added.

As reported, the Ukraine Recovery Conference on the restoration of Ukraine after the military aggression of the Russian Federation is held in Lugano, Switzerland, on July 4-5.

On July 5, representatives of more than 40 countries and about 20 international organizations approved the Lugano Declaration as the outcome document of the Ukraine Recovery Conference URC2022 and pledged to support Ukraine.

According to the Government of Ukraine, the recovery program is already estimated at USD 750 billion.
