Death of six people in Pakistan's southwest due to monsoon rains

(MENAFN) According to a provincial disaster management agency, during the torrential downpour that pounded southern Pakistan and other areas of the nation on Tuesday, at least six people—including women and children—were murdered when the roofs of their homes fell.

As per a declaration from the agency, there were concerns the death toll would be higher because numerous individuals went missing when flash floods struck the rural districts of the province of southern Baluchistan overnight.

Authorities report that scores of residences in Baluchistan were also destroyed by the most recent round of severe rains, which began on Monday and continued on Tuesday.

In Pakistan, rainfall have murdered 38 people since June and destroyed more than 200 homes. In Baluchistan, where heavy rain caused a passenger bus to veer off the route and plunge into a steep gorge over the weekend, 19 people were murdered as well as every year, seasonal monsoon rains cause chaos and scores of deaths in Pakistan due to floods.
