(MENAFN) Barcelona declared on Monday that Ivorian CDM Franck Kessie completed his transfer on four-year contract with the Spanish football club.
The Spanish giants announced in a statement that "Franck Kessie is a player who contribute in attack and in defence. Capable of winning the ball back in midfield, the African midfielder also has impressive stats as a goalscorer, partly due to his ability to make runs into the penalty area."
Barcelona also mentioned that Kessie is going to be part of the team until the end of June 2026 and his release clause is going to be €500 million (USD522 million).
Kessie started his career at Stella Club d'Adjame in his home nation before making his move to Italy in 8 years ago to join Atalanta.
He formerly played for Cesena as well as AC Milan and was a key part for the Rossoneri to achieve the 2021-22 Serie A cup.
The 25-year-old got 37 goals and 16 assists under his name in 223 appearances throughout his Milan career.
