ICESCO Holds 10Th Meeting Of Islamic World Heritage Committee


(MENAFN- Saudi Press Agency) Rabat, July 04, 2022, SPA -- The tenth meeting of the Islamic World Heritage Committee, an affiliate of the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO), convened here to study the actions taken by the organization in the field of heritage preservation, and review reports on the achievements of the committee between the two sessions for the years 2019-2022, as well as the issues related to sites submitted for registration on the Heritage List in the Islamic World.
ICESCO Director-General Dr. Salem Al-Malik, stressed that valuing and protecting the heritage of the Islamic world comes at the forefront of the priorities of the organization's strategic directions, focusing on the care it gives to training, capacity building of heritage workers, and cooperation with Member States in this field.
