Meeting between Elon Musk, Pope Francis in Italy

(MENAFN) Elon Musk broke his 10-day Twitter blackout to reveal that he had met Pope Francis while in Italy.

Early on Saturday, Mr. Musk posted a picture of himself, four of his kids, and the pontiff, who was born in Argentina, “honored to meet @Pontifex yesterday.”

Additionally, he posted a photo from Venice that looked to show him and a woman together, both of them wearing masquerade ball attire. The absence of Mr. Musk from Twitter was noticed since he typically posts often and has more than 100 million followers as well as the audience was not announced by the Vatican, and no details regarding the topics covered were made available.

Mr. Musk is in the midst of acquiring Twitter for USD44 billion, but since finalizing the agreement in April, he has raised concerns about the amount of spam accounts on the service. Last week, he declared that these concerns were still a " very significant " obstacle to the acquisition.
