Inter Milan completes Mkhitaryan transfer

(MENAFN) Inter Milan on Saturday completed the transfer of Armenian playmaker Henrikh Mkhitaryan, the Italian football club announced.

Inter stated in an announcement that "The 33-year-old midfielder joins the Nerazzurri after his spell at Roma."

The club did not reveal details of Mkhitaryan's contract.

The winger expressed on Twitter that "Very happy to join such a great club! Will do my best and give my all to help the team achieve our goals."

Mkhitaryan is Inter's first Armenian player ever. He has also played for Ukraine's Shakhtar Donetsk, Germany's Borussia Dortmund, English clubs Manchester United as well as Arsenal, and finally Italy's Roma.

He achieved the 2017 UEFA Europa League with Manchester United, and was a key part of Roma’s midfield when the Italian team managed to win the first-ever UEFA Conference League cup two months ago.

The Armenian international, who mostly plays as an attacking midfielder, got 29 goals and 28 assists in 117 appearances under his name for Roma.

With 95 international caps, he has managed to get 32 goals for Armenia.
