Serbia announces western countries need to apologize, rather than forcing it as ‘NATO foot soldier’

(MENAFN) Serbian Interior Minister Aleksandar Vulin has stated that western countries should make an apology to Serbia rather than forcing it to become a “NATO foot soldier” in the war with Russia.
Belgrade is not going to let itself be pulled into “other people’s wars,” he stated to the morning show on Serbia’s Pink broadcaster on Saturday.

Vulin stated that Belgrade’s position on the subject of the continuing war among Moscow and Kiev is “very clear,” also stating that Serbia respects the regional honesty of Ukraine but would not participate the restrictions regime on Russia because of its old close and friendly ties with Moscow.

The central minister was replying to the words of Deputy Premier Zorana Mihajlovic, who had previously stated that a theoretical future Serbian cabinet should be more “specific” in its stance on the conflict.

Vulin asked verbally as he protected his government’s position on the issue “Do we want to be part of the West’s conflict with Russia? Do we want to forget all these decades in which Russia supported us? Do we want to forget all these centuries of Slavic brotherhood?”
